Due to licensure restrictions, I can only provide therapy to adults physically located in Connecticut, United States.
-
I work with adults (18+). I am happy to refer you to a child specialist if needed.
-
All of my sessions are currently taking place weekly via a HIPAA compliant video platform. I do not offer in-person therapy.

Virtual therapy offers flexibility, accessibility, and at-home comfort. Clients can meet with their therapist from the privacy of their own home, eliminating the need to travel or take extra time off work. This makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and allows people in rural or underserved areas to access care they might not otherwise receive.
Research shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The therapeutic relationship—the most important factor in successful therapy—can be built just as strongly over video.
-
Consistency is important to ensure there is progress and therefore I offer weekly sessions. Your session time is reserved for you, and that time slot is not given to anyone else until our work together is completed.
-
I am not in-network with any insurance providers.
Depending on your insurance coverage policy, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement from your insurance through the use of Out of Network Benefits. If you qualify, I can provide you with superbills for this purpose.

How Insurance Impacts Clients
Insurance requires me to give you a mental health diagnosis that becomes part of your permanent medical record, even if one doesn’t fully fit your experience or isn’t clinically necessary. This can be especially risky for people in sensitive professions such as pilots, medical professionals, military personnel, or anyone with a security clearance, where a documented diagnosis may impact licensure, job eligibility, or career advancement. Insurance companies may also limit the number of sessions they cover, require justification for continued care, and request access to your records, which compromises your confidentiality. By working privately, we can focus on your goals without outside interference, labeling, or time constraints.
How Insurance Impacts Providers
Insurance pays therapists far below a livable rate, despite the high level of education, training, and care this work requires. They can also issue “claw-backs,” where they demand repayment for sessions months or even years after they were provided, creating financial instability for providers and potential disruptions in care for clients. Insurance also requires constant justification for services, which results in providers spending hours weekly completing paperwork and negotiating with insurances to ensure their clients get the care they need. This impacts client’s quality of care, because the provider is then unable to use that time to better research best ways to assist their client and prepare for sessions. By staying independent, I can offer consistent, ethical care that puts your needs first, not the insurance company’s bottom line.
